Welcome to CityKIDS, the Children’s Ministry of Metro City Church!
We believe that kids matter to God! And they matter to us. Every week your child can be part of an exciting and active environment filled with songs, games, lovable characters, crafts and creative teaching that helps them learn Godly values at an age appropriate level.
We believe that your child can know God, and we want to do our part to introduce them to Him!
Our CityKIDS classes meet at the same time as our adult Experiences, and are designed for all children from newborn through fifth grade. So, while you are experiencing a creative, life-changing worship Experience at Metro, your children are experiencing one as well!
What can you expect when you come to CityKIDS?
Smiling Faces, Fun, Child-Targeted Activities, Creative Bible Teaching - ALL in a Safe Environment
When you arrive at Metro City Church for the first time, you will visit our CityKIDS Welcome Center where you will be registered into our secure online Check-In System. Your child will then be checked in and you will receive name-tags for your child(ren) as well as a Parent Tag. The Parent Tag has an alpha-numeric code that will be used for security reasons and to contact you should such a need arise. After service, you will return your Parent Tag and check your child out of his or her class. CityKIDS is “open for business” 15 minutes before each service to care for your child.
Our classes are divided by ages and grade levels.
CREATION DRIVE + 1ST STREET
Nurseries (Birth-12 months and 12-24 months) Our nurseries are friendly places where caregivers provide the highest level of care for your little one. Our staff prays for and cares for your child, helping him or her to discover that church is a safe, fun place to be. Age-appropriate Bible stories, books, toys and activities make the CityKIDS Nurseries great places to be!
2ND STREET + 3RD STREET
2 year olds and 3 years olds meet in a combined classroom. This is a very busy classroom with lots of interaction and fun! Here children learn the basics about God, prayer and the Bible with music, games, crafts and age-appropriate lessons.
PRE-K and K
Preschool and Kindergarteners meet together in KinderLane. Each week, a variety of creative teaching methods are used to teach our preschoolers/kindergarteners. Through music, puppets, games, hands on learning and teaching, children learn about God’s Word and His love for them.
123RD AVENUE + 45TH BLVD
Elementary Classes (1st-5th Grade) By using Large Group Teaching involving music, drama, media and a host of teaching techniques, elementary age kids learn God’s truths in ways they understand and enjoy. Then, Smaller Group Interaction helps kids to connect with God and each other through teaching, discussion and prayer.

Older elementary kids (4th, 5th and 6th graders) need something different. CK456 is offered at our 11:30 Experience. 4th and 5th graders attending @ 9:30 or on Mon night will join K-5th graders.
Our goal at CityKIDS is to make our ministry one of the best hours in every kid’s (and parent’s) week! We want to do all we can to assist families as they attempt to provide a spiritual foundation that, in God’s timing, will lead a child into a relationship with God through Jesus Christ. We consider it a privilege to have the opportunity to serve you and your family at CityKIDS!
