MetroFit is a ministry within Metro City Church that is passionate about helping people take next steps toward God by offering Christ-centered activities and events to promote health and wellness, for the body, mind and soul.
MetroFit, as a ministry and its leaders, believes that God created our bodies to serve and glorify Him. With the affordable activities and events, put on by our volunteers and leaders (aka MetroFit Ambassadors) we hope to spread God's word and love to the members of Metro City Church and to our surrounding community.

Group Fitness (Instructor: Jeff Mitchell) - Riverview Gym
All levels from beginning to advanced are welcome for this group fitness class. Just bring a yoga/exercise mat, some water and a desire to get healthy. The workouts consist of interval training sets, some cardio, mixed in with body weight exercises. Class starts off with prayer, a 5 min warm up, a 3 minute stretch, 40 minutes of working out, then a quick stretch and ending with prayer before we leave.
Cardio Drumming (Instructor: Deb Yarger) - Riverview Gym
One Drum is a mission driven cardio drumming class.The class is for all ages and abilities. A full body workout which includes warm-up, active state, cool down and final stretch. Music that speaks to the soul with a twist of fun music.Come as you are with the heart of doing your best. Working out with like minded people and making new friends is a bonus!! Please bring a 75 cm exercise ball, 18 gallon bucket, and set of drumsticks. Limited rental equipment is available for $2 if you want to try it before buying your own.
Tabata (Instructor: Sara Lennon) - Riverview Fitness Studio
Tabata is a full body interval training cardio course that lasts for four minutes per set with 20 seconds on and 10 seconds off. It is meant to be fun and continuous with light-moderate intensity! Participants will need a yoga style mat for comfort when doing exercises on the ground and occasionally a set of 5 pound dumbells. The goal is to raise the the heart rate and tone/tighten target areas while listening to encouraging and lifting music that keeps you mentally, physically, and spiritually ready for a great workout!
Cardio Boxing (Instructor: Wade Tolle) - Riverview Fitness Studio
Cardio Boxing will begin with a quick intro on how to throw punches correctly, followed by some jump roping and light shadow boxing to warm up. Class will then break up and start circuit training. Each person will go through a series of stations that incorporate different exercises and movements a boxer would use during training. Class will end with a core workout. This class is designed to provide the cardiovascular benefits of a boxers training routine without ever having to take a punch!
